  1. Only half the picture is visable in both. It’s like looking thru a keyhole. From what I saw, it looks great.

Wondering when and where crab races are on Captiva. Thanks so much.

CRAB Races are at the Crows Nest at ‘Tween Waters Inn (472-5161), south of Captiva Village. It is casual and great fun, with the “NASCRAB” crab races every Monday (6pm family show, 9pm adult) and live music other nights.

    Hi Philippe,

Yes I heard some thing about that. I’ve also heard that there have been no less than 17 different countries that have offered equipment, technology and expertise, all which have been ignored, or denied. Every day of this makes my blood pressure go up a point. Fortunately, Sanibel, Captiva and the surrounding coast has not seen a drop of oil yet, but is it a matter of “if” or “when”? Time will tell. In the meantime, this disaster is totally of of control in my mind and I don’t think we have even begun to realize the long term effects of it. Sad to say. Thanks for sharing that article.

    Hello again Philippe,

Ironically I see you also sent an article about the very thing I was talking about, other countries helping. (Sorry, I didn’t see the second link initially) I was not aware of the REAL reason for the denial. Now I am. That is even worse. Are there no exemptions/exceptions for a disaster of this magnitude? Can’t they vote one in…like now! Talk about tied hands. But if a politician needs a pay raise, they have an emergency session and vote on that like, yesterday. It just makes me feel all the more helpless. Again, thanks for sharing.

    Sandy
